Getting started
How do I book a cleaning?
Book online in about a minute: choose your home size, add anything extra you want done, pick a date and confirm. You will see your exact price before you commit to anything. If you would rather talk it through, call or text 385-259-1441 during office hours.
How much does house cleaning cost in Salt Lake City?
A standard clean starts at $155 for a one-bedroom home, $185 for two bedrooms, $220 for three, $270 for four, $295 for five and $320 for six. Each bathroom adds $20, and homes over 1,500 square feet add a size surcharge starting at $25. Recurring customers save 10 to 20 percent on every visit. The booking form shows your exact total before you confirm.
What services do you offer?
Standard house cleaning, First-Time and deep cleans, move-in and move-out cleans, cleaning by the hour at $75 an hour, and commercial cleaning for offices and small facilities. We also sell gift cards. Residential cleaning is priced and booked online; commercial work is quoted after you send us the details.
How far in advance should I book?
The booking form shows real availability, so you can see what is open before you choose. Cleaning appointments start at 9am or 1pm, Monday through Saturday, and we ask for more than 24 hours notice on any change to a booked visit.
Why is a First-Time Clean added to my first booking?
A home that has not been professionally cleaned recently needs more time than a maintenance visit allows. The First-Time Clean covers the detail work that builds up over months — baseboards and trim by hand, grout and tile edges, switch plates and handles, light fixtures, vents and fans, and inside the microwave. It costs from $100 for a one or two-bedroom home up to $250 for six bedrooms, and it is a one-off: on a recurring schedule you never need another.
Services & what's included
What is included in a standard clean?
Kitchens: counters, sink and backsplash cleaned and disinfected, appliance exteriors wiped, stovetop degreased, floors vacuumed and mopped, trash out. Bathrooms: toilets, tubs, showers and sinks scrubbed and sanitized, mirrors and fixtures polished, floors done, trash out. Bedrooms and living areas: all accessible surfaces dusted, upholstery vacuumed, floors vacuumed and mopped, beds made, general tidy and reset.
What is not included in a standard clean?
Inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, inside cabinets, walls, interior windows and blinds are all available as add-ons rather than part of the base clean — you can add any of them when you book. We also do not move heavy furniture or appliances, do ladder work beyond a two-step stool, clean exterior windows, steam-clean carpets, or handle biohazards, mold or pest problems.
What add-ons can I choose, and what do they cost?
Inside the oven is $20, inside the refrigerator is $20 if empty or $50 if full, inside cabinets is $20, walls are $60, interior windows are $60, and blinds are $10 per set. Homes with pets add $20, and paid parking adds $15. You pick these on the booking form and they are included in the total you see before you confirm.
Do you do move-out cleans for a deposit inspection?
Yes. A move-in or move-out clean adds inside all cabinets, drawers and closets, inside the oven and refrigerator, baseboards, door frames and trim by hand, switch plates and handles, interior windows and sills, and light fixtures, vents and fans. It costs from $150 on top of your home size price for a one or two-bedroom, up to $350 for six bedrooms. The home should be empty or nearly empty when we arrive.
Can I book a cleaner by the hour instead?
Yes, at $75 an hour. You set the priorities and we work down your list in the order you give us. It suits a partial clean, a reset before guests arrive, a home office, or one room that needs real attention rather than the whole house.
Do you clean offices and commercial spaces?
Yes — offices, clinics, studios, retail units and small facilities. Commercial work is quoted rather than booked from a price grid, because square footage, restroom count, floor types and how often you need us all change the number. Send the details through the commercial quote form and we will price it and call you back, usually the same working day.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. You choose the amount, pay by card on our gift card page, and the recipient is emailed the card. They can put it toward any residential cleaning service.
Do you clean litter boxes or pet accidents?
No. Our teams do not clean litter boxes or remove urine or feces from floors. We also do not remove pet odors from a home — that needs a specialist. Please secure pets and pick up after them before we arrive.
Trust & safety
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Most clients are not. You can leave access instructions when you book — a lockbox code, a garage code, a hidden key or a neighbour — and we follow them. If you would rather be there for the first visit so you can walk us through the house, that is welcome too.
What if I have pets?
Pets are welcome and very common in our work. Add the pet option when you book so the visit is planned with the extra hair and paw traffic in mind. If an animal is nervous around strangers or vacuums, tell us where they will be and we will work around them.
Will I get the same cleaner every visit?
We aim for consistency on recurring schedules, because someone who already knows your home does a better job in the same hours. Illness, holidays and scheduling sometimes make a change necessary; when that happens your home notes and preferences go with the booking, so nothing is lost.
How do you handle keys and access codes?
Access details are stored on your booking rather than passed around, and they are only visible to the team assigned to your home. You can change or remove them at any time, and you never have to give us a key you are uncomfortable handing over — a lockbox or a one-time code works just as well.
Are you insured?
Yes. Salt Lake City Cleaning Services is a registered DBA of Rapid Reset Cleaning LLC, a Utah limited liability company, and the company carries insurance for the cleaning services it provides.
Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?
No. Our teams bring their own supplies and equipment, including vacuums, mops and cleaning products. If there is a specific product you would like us to use instead, call the office before your service date and we will work with it. Occasionally, depending on the condition of a home, we may ask you to provide a working vacuum — vacuums can carry dander and other allergens between homes, so this protects both you and our teams.
What if I am not happy with the clean?
Contact us within 24 hours of the booking start time with a list of the areas that were missed and photos of them, and we will come back and re-clean those areas free of charge, usually within 24 to 48 hours. You will need to be available to let the team in. Because cleaning is a personalised service we do not offer refunds — the re-clean is the remedy, and anything not reported within that 24-hour window falls outside it.
Pricing & policies
How is my price calculated?
Bedrooms set the base price, each bathroom adds $20, and homes over 1,500 square feet add a size surcharge — $25 from 1,500 square feet, $40 from 2,000, $60 from 2,500 and $100 from 3,000. Any add-ons you choose and any recurring discount are applied on top. The booking form does all of that live, so the number on screen is the number you pay.
How much do I save on a recurring schedule?
Weekly saves 20 percent, every two weeks saves 15 percent, and every four weeks saves 10 percent. The discount applies to every visit for as long as the schedule runs, not just the first one, and you can change or pause the schedule yourself.
Is sales tax added to the price?
No. We do not add sales tax to a residential clean, so the total shown on the booking form is what you pay. There is also no travel or service-area fee anywhere we work.
How and when do I pay?
By card, through the booking form. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. On a recurring schedule the card on file is charged for each visit rather than you having to remember.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for more than 24 hours notice to change or cancel a visit. Inside that window a $79 late cancellation fee applies, because the team's day is scheduled around the homes booked and the slot can no longer be filled. Notice has to reach the office by phone, text or email — telling the cleaning team while they are in your home does not count. If we arrive and cannot get in, a lockout fee applies instead.
Will I get an exact arrival time?
You get a 60-minute arrival window rather than a vague half-day, confirmed when you book. Appointments start at 9am or 1pm.
Are you open on holidays?
We observe six holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We clean on all other holidays. If your regular cleaning falls on one of the six, the office contacts you one to two weeks ahead to reschedule.
Manage your booking
How do I reschedule or skip a visit?
Call or text 385-259-1441, or email the office — as long as it is more than 24 hours before the visit there is no charge, and skipping one does not affect your recurring discount. For a regular cleaning day we appreciate two business days notice where you can manage it.
Can I change my recurring schedule later?
Yes, at any time. You can move between weekly, every two weeks and every four weeks, pause for a while, or stop altogether. Your rate follows whichever schedule you are on — there is no contract and no cancellation penalty on a recurring plan.
Can I leave notes or special requests for my cleaner?
Yes, and it genuinely helps. Add them when you book or reply to your confirmation — which rooms matter most, anything to avoid, where supplies live, how to handle a pet or an alarm. Notes stay on your home for future visits.
When can I reach you?
The office is open Monday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm Mountain Time — call or text 385-259-1441, or leave a voicemail outside those hours. Online booking is open around the clock, so you never have to wait for the office to schedule a clean.
Still have a question?
